Moving and Choosing is a community‐based coalition in Alberta promoting healthy growth and development and the prevention of child and adolescent obesity. It offers information on promoting healthy school environments, including nutrition and active living. The teacher’s resource section offers lesson plans for K‐12. Also provides DPA activities and Energizers for K‐9.
  •  http://www.phecanada.ca/ This website offers resources available on an online bookstore as well as, free resources (pdfs) for DPA including specific activities for February, and many ideas for Winter Activities. As a member, a Physical Education and Intramurals clipboard is provided offering a variety of lesson plans.
  • http://www.fitkidsnc.com/ Fit kids is a North Carolina website that offers physical activities for grades K‐8. Lesson ideas are available for almost every subject, including, Social Studies, Language Arts, Math, Music and Theatre Arts. Many activities include a video and are easily printed without membership

This article gives some helpful ideas for D.P.A. and suggests using Physical Education Online, from Alberta Education in the resource section. (p.4)
