Bobsleigh Jellybeans

Adam Anderson, Bobby Staniforth, Hugh Baker, and Chris Ripley are members of the national development bobsleigh team. They returned from the Vancouver Olympic Games, held in February 2010, with a lesson to share with others. Even though they exceeded their expectations for finishes, they didn’t accumulate enough points to qualify for the Olympics. These amazing athletes didn’t let this fact get in their way. They embraced the opportunity and went to the games as forerunners (the sleds which go down before the competitive sleds).

Continuing to be positive and look for the learning in every situation, they have recently published a children's book which was inspired by their team. This intriguing story is named Bobsleigh Jellybeans. “It is a light-hearted story about friendship, teamwork, imagination and following your dreams.” The messages it contains are wonderful and don't just relate to sport, but life in general.

The book was written to share an important message and also as a creative way to support their continued training. All proceeds from the sale of the book go toward helping with the costs of training and competing at this high level.
